So what does the trailer tell us?
Based on a true story the trailer shows a man challenging religion with a discovery that defies the theory of Adam and Eve which results in threatening the church and tearing his family apart in his homeland Spain, 1862. Whilst the premise of the story feels interesting the trailer looks quite bleak. The music is very uplifting and dramatic yet the scenes look uninspiring. This could just be a bad trailer because the story itself sounds intense. If you are interested in a film where religious ideologies are challenged and in turn provides tensions from religious groups then this looks to be a film to add to your list.
It will be interesting to see if the next trailer goes into more depth to what he has discovered because apart from the obvious issues he has with the church it does not really tell us anything else.
