Daily Trailer Insights – I.T Official Trailer 1 (2016)

So what does the trailer tell us?

Does typical Hollywood thriller come to mind? Let’s discuss the premise. We have a wealthy business man with a secure and loving family with an authentic smart house then one day there is a computer glitch so like any company would do he gets one of the technical advisors to look into the glitch. Unfortunately for him, the advisor has his own issues and decides to hack and harass the family to the point that it is putting their lives in danger using technological methods.

Imagine if this ever happened at Apple? It does not sound believable, does it? I guess without using weapons an advisor with hacking skills who has completely lost it would prefer to use the means of technology to get back at someone rather than using the typical American methods of using a gun.

Pierce Brosnan is the obvious lead of the film so we know what to expect with a performance from him. He really has tried out a lot of roles since his 007 days but unfortunately, he has never managed to stop reminding audiences that he used to be James Bond. I guess that’s the poisoned chalice you hold when you take on such a mainstream role.

This is looking like a typical modern day thriller and nothing special with a narrative structure that will provide a tense finish. We’ve seen it all before but I think it will still be worth the watch.
